March 18.
Well, I had a long and interesting entry about what I'm working on today all done and in the can, and FortuneCity's $$%#$%#@!!!! file manager only saved the first 63 bytes. Second time it's happened in two days; I think it's some kind of Mac problem but I dunno. Whatever it is it sucks.
Had pizza for lunch, now bloated and sleepy. Still struggling with a piece I am writing for Perspectives. I'm interviewing WWII veterans a la the thing Brokaw did on NBC.
I've interviewed two so far.
One told me stories about the Battle of the Bulge that made my hair stand on end. By the end of the interview the old guy was actually crying.
The second interview SUCKED. The guy didn't see anything, wasn't in any danger (apparently), was a baker on a Navy ship and never got past the pastry rollers. ARRRRRRGGGH.

Working this weekend, maybe going to nosh crab with the Governor and several state legislators at a Democratic fundraiser in the next county to the south. I generally hate covering politicians. I'd much rather talk to people who aren't trying to bullshit me blind.
But if there's free food involved, what the heck. This Saturday's event is a big fresh crab picnic outdoors. I'm packing a bib.
